Comprehensive Service Agreements

As part of our commitment to bring you the best value and service possible, we have recently upgraded our Service Plans in several ways:

  • You can now get up a 50% discount on any and all service provided (excluding installation work) by signing up for our Comprehensive Energy Conservation Plan!
  • When your Service Plan renews, you now have the ability to switch from one annual payment to a low monthly payment. Please call the office if you are interested in monthly billing or check the appropriate box on the sign-up sheet and we will contact you directly.
  • Lastly, we have added the TankSure® Program, which enables us to evaluate the integrity of your oil tank using an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), approved testing technology. This Program also includes a tank replacement payment of $1,000 for qualified tanks and a $200 tank replacement credit for tanks in need of immediate replacement.

Service Plans are very important for maintaining your equipment, identifying and correcting potential issues before they become bigger problems and maximizing your system’s efficiency. Oil Heat Maintenance and Service Agreements for Warm Air Furnaces and Hot Water of Steam Boilers

Comprehensive Oil Heater Oil Service Maintenance Parts Agreement Plan “A” for Furnaces & Plan “B” For Boilers

  • This plan includes our fourteen point annual cleaning & preventative maintenance service as listed below.
  • Also included is annual insurance coverage for repair or replacement of the parts list below
  • No charge for 24 hour emergency service with Plans A & B.

Plan “C” Basic Oil Heater Service Parts Agreement

This plan includes our fourteen point annual cleaning & preventative maintenance service as listed below. Coverage provided during normal service hours, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. (Coverage includes parts on the burner only less controls)

The following is a list of covered parts under our “C” service agreement:

Plan “L” & “N” Fourteen Point Annual Cleaning/Preventative Maintenance No Agreement Coverage (Parts Extra) Plan “N” For Customers Who Purchase Oil From Self.

  • Clean and adjust oil burner
  • Inspect flues and stack pipe
  • Replace oil filter cartridge
  • Lubricate burner motor
  • Check draft stabilizer
  • Lubricate blower or circulator pump motor
  • Clean heating plant and chimney base
  • Clean or replace strainers and nozzle
  • Adjust air and oil mixture for maximum efficiency
  • Adjust ignition
  • Check controls and switches for sale operation
  • Repair air leaks if necessary
  • Perform a combustion efficiency test consisting of the following:
    • a. CO2 reading
    • b. Stack temperature at furnace or boiler breeching
    • c. Draft reading (at breeching)
    • d. Smoke readings
  • Clean or replace air filter; charge for filter; standard 1” filters only.If after cleaning, the heater does not have a minimum 75% combustion efficiency and cannot be simply corrected, the customer will be notified with recommendations for correction.

Plan “H” Oil Fired Hot Water Heater Service Maintenance Agreement

This plan includes the fourteen point plan listed above as applicable and includes parts and emergency service.

Plan “E” Annual Cleaning & Preventative Maintenance Service on Oil Fired Hot Water Heaters (parts extra)

This plan includes the fourteen point plan listed above as applicable.

This plan includes our sixteen point preventative maintenance service listed below & emergency service from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

  • Clean and adjust burner
  • Clean and inspect heat exchanger
  • Inspect flues and stack
  • Clean chimney base
  • Inspect combustion chamber
  • Adjust blower belt
  • Check safety controls and switches
  • Inspect and clean ignition assembly
  • Clean fan blades
  • Check combustion efficiency
  • Lubricate all moving parts
  • Adjust boiler pressure
  • Adjust fan limit control
  • Check and clean thermostat
  • Clean or replace air filter; charge for air filter; standard 1” filters only.
  • Inspect coil plate gasket

Electric Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Preventative Maintenance

Plan “M” & “P” Ten Point Annual Preventive Maintenance Service as Listed Below (parts extra)
Plan “M” 1 Inspection/Year – Plan “P” 2 Inspections/Year

  • Inspect condenser coils
  • Inspect and clean condensate drain
  • Check control & safety wiring
  • Lubricate all moving parts
  • Check voltage, phase, & amperage
  • Inspect evaporator coils
  • Adjust fan belts
  • Clean or replace air filters
  • Check refrigerant charge
  • Check temperature change

Installation Discounts

Self Heating & Cooling will provide a 5% discount off any quote for heating and air conditioning equipment covered by one of our comprehensive agreements Plan A or B. Call to schedule a free estimate.

Note: The customer agrees to keep their account current. Any account past due over thirty (30) days is ineligible for agreement coverage.
